What we’re often asked
Do I have to host my machines at Rēzau?
No. The datastore adds as a target to any Proxmox VE host, wherever it is: our cloud, another provider or your server room. That’s the whole point.
What is an immutable backup?
A copy that cannot be altered or deleted during its retention period — including by ransomware or a compromised account. It’s your last line of defense.
How am I billed?
Per TB of provisioned space, with no egress fees. You adjust capacity whenever you want, and billing follows pro rata.
How do you know a restore works?
We verify every backup automatically and, on the certified tier, we actually boot your VMs from the backups to prove it.
Where are my backups stored?
In Canada, in Toronto (Ontario), outside the Cloud Act.
